General Information

Name of Presenter: Jane SAMPLE

Organization or Company: Going Green Consulting (Add Company)

Each author must determine if they will add their presenter as a Presenter, a Company, or both. This author has decided to add their presenter only as a Presenter, which is why you see "Going Green Consulting" as a red link. If the author had decided to also add them as a Company, the link would be blue and when you clicked on the link, you would be taken to the Company page for Going Green Consulting. The blue Add Company link can be deleted if the author decides not to add the presenter as a Company. Click on the Edit link for the General Information section and delete the wiki code for that link. The wiki code will look like this: [[Special:AddCompany|Add Company]]. For further discussion on this topic see the article Which collection form do I use?

It is encouraged that authors use the Vendor Release Form to gather information about the presenter they are adding to Programapedia. Authors should share as much information as they can about a presenter and their programs. This form also allows authors to gain consent from presenters to post personal information like address and phone number on Programapedia. The Vendor Release Form is located on the For authors page.

This presenter often utilizes the use of the Internet and PowerPoint during her presentations. She will bring her own laptop and projector but will need the hosting library to provide a screen.

Programs Offered at the Library

As shown above, when listing your program title, make sure you also include the name of the presenter that offers this program in parentheses after the program title. Because there may be programs with the same title, including the presenter name helps to differentiate between programs.

Also, it is encouraged that authors create pages for any programs they list in the Programs Offered at the Library section. There are two ways to create a program page.

  1. Click on the red program link. This will bring you to an edit page where you can use wiki text to create your program page. This is not as complicated as it sounds. Go to an existing program page of your choice, click on the edit tab at the top of the page, then copy and paste the wiki code into your program's edit page. To complete the process, replace the other program details with your own.
  2. If you prefer to use an Add Program webform, go to the For Authors link in the menu on the left side of the screen, then click on Add Program. When prompted to give the name of your program, make sure the program title is exactly the same as what you listed on the Presenter page. This can be guaranteed by copying and pasting the program title. However, do not include the presenter's name in the Program Title field. This will be added automatically once you submit your form.

For example,

Program title as listed on Presenter page: SAMPLE Recycling Can Be Fun (SAMPLE, Jane)
Program title as listed on Program page: SAMPLE Recycling Can Be Fun

Audiences, Age Level, Topic, Culture, Language

This presenter offers programs for a range of ages.
