Program Specifics

Dr. Dennis H. Cremin, Assistant Professor Lewis University, will give an illustrated lecture on Lincoln and the Illinois and Michigan Canal. He will briefly profile Lincoln's career as a traveler and provide information on Lockport's Lincoln Landing, a new interpretive park. Dennis Cremin holds a PhD in History from Loyola University Chicago and has taught at College of DuPage, Joliet Junior College, Loyola University Chicago, North Central College, and is currently Assistant Professor at Lewis University. He has also served as the Historian and Director of Research and Public Programs for the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Gaylord Building in Lockport, Illinois.

Excellent response to program. It was snowy and all around lousy December weather but we still had 17 interested adults.
