General Information

Program Title: SAMPLE Recycling Can Be Fun

Presenter: Jane SAMPLE

Program Specifics

This program was designed to teach children the benefits of recycling. It also gave kids and parents alike tips on how to start a recycling program in their own home. The entire program stressed shared responsibility for the health of the planet. It had interactive aspects so children weren't just sitting around the duration of the program.

1 hour

This was a very successful program. We had 30 children attend, with their parents. We expected a high attendance and we got it. After the program, many parents mentioned how valuable the program was and hoped we would offer more programs by this presenter.

Mileage reimbursement at state rate plus fee which we negotiated with the presenter

Materials, Equipment, Room Setup

The presenter brought all of her own materials and props. She requested that we provide a wide open space free of tables and chairs accept for one table at the front of the room for her use. This particular program did not require any computer equipment.

Audiences, Age Level, Topic, Culture, Language

This program was intended for a young audience, K-4th grade, as well as parents of that age group.
