Which collection form do I use?

From Programapedia

Jump to: navigation, search

The type of information you are sharing with Programapedia determines which collection forms you will need to fill out. In most cases you will be adding the details of a specific presenter and the program(s) they provided to your library.

Library?
It is recommended that your Library's page is the first profile you add to Programapedia, if it hasn't already been added. This will give you some practice going through the process of searching for and adding a page as well as making sure your library is represented in the wiki. Use the Add Library form to add your library’s information to Programapedia.

Presenter or Company?
If the presenter you are adding is serving as a representative of a larger organization or company, then an Add Company form should be filled out instead of an Add Presenter Form. If you are unsure which form is the most appropriate, it is acceptable to fill out each form for that individual. Another question to ask that might help you make a decision is whether or not adding the presenter as a Company would add value to the promotion of that presenter. If you look at the Add Presenter and Add Company forms, they ask different types of things. After reviewing the forms, it might be clearer which form is most appropriate.

Program?
For each program title you include on the Add Presenter Form, please complete a separate Add Program form, which will allow you to share more details about those programs. However, only use the Add Program form for programs new to Programapedia. If the program you want to enter already exists in Programapedia add your experience with that program directly by editing the existing wiki page.
